Antigua is quite touristy so it's not that easy to find a restaurant serving local cuisine. Fonda de la Calle Real has three branches within walking distance from the main plaza and they all serve delicious Guatemalan cuisine in a courtyard setting. We tasted the pupusas (pictured above), the turkey soup, chicken soup, chile relleno and a stew, which were all tasty and reasonably priced. The sauces were full of spice and intense flavor. Everything was fresh and prepared to order, so be patient.
I'm a native New Yorker who loves to travel, eat, drink, and shop. I'd like to think that I'm an expert in all of the above. You'll never find me in a tour group unless there is no other option. I'm a "foodie" but I don't need to break the bank (though I do appreciate fine dining). My drink is a Pimms Cup if done right (with gingerale, lemon and mint). I shop as if it's my job. I never pay retail and the recession has nothing to do with it. I'm brutally honest as I don't want to waste my time and yours with fluff.
This is really nice blog if you want to have a wildlife tour in corbett so visit on- corbett National Park
